Pricing · Mexico City

$12,500. 1 price, itemised, and the 5 things it does not include.

Most ibogaine clinics put the price behind a phone call. Ours is on this page, with what it pays for, what it does not, when each payment is due, and what happens to your money if the answer turns out to be no. Nothing is billed until a physician has said yes in writing.

Where the money goes

6 lines on the quote. Here is what sits behind each one.

The itemised quote breaks the $12,500 into these 6 lines with a figure against each. We show the contents here so you can compare them with any other clinic’s quote, line by line.

Line 1

Screening and cardiology

The part most clinics skip, and the reason our price is not the lowest.

  • Screening call with a physician or nurse, before any payment
  • Cardiologist’s reading of your pre-travel EKG and labs
  • Repeat EKG and labs on arrival, read the same day
  • Morning EKG on day 4 and daily through day 7

Line 2

Clinical staffing

The people in the room, by the hour, as set out on the medical team page.

  • Cardiologist and emergency physician in the room for dosing
  • 1 ACLS-trained nurse to 1 patient through the session and the night after
  • Nurse on site 24 hours for all 7 days
  • Psychiatrist for washout planning and follow-up planning

Line 3

Monitoring and safety

Equipment at the bedside, and the agreement that sits behind it.

  • Continuous 12-lead ECG and pulse oximetry through the session and overnight
  • Crash cart, oxygen and defibrillator at the bedside
  • Written transfer agreement with a private hospital 9 minutes away
  • Ambulance transfer if it is ever needed, at no extra charge

Line 4

Facility, room and meals

A licensed medical facility, not a villa with a nurse on call.

  • Private room for 7 nights
  • All meals, planned around the washout and the session
  • Family visiting hours every day
  • The medicine itself, pharmaceutical-grade, at the dose the physician sets

Line 5

Transfers

Nobody arrives in a foreign city with a suitcase and a phone number.

  • Private driver at MEX Terminal 1 with a name card
  • Return transfer to the airport on day 7
  • Transfer to and from the hospital if a transfer happens

Line 6

90-day follow-up

The part of the program that decides the next year, priced in so nobody has to buy it later.

  • Weekly calls from your named coordinator to day 30
  • Milestone calls with the psychiatrist at days 45, 60 and 90
  • Written clinical summary for your doctor or prescriber at home
  • Referral list of US clinicians near you, with no fee in either direction

Not included

5 things you pay for separately, and why each one is separate.

Every one of these could have been folded into the headline number. Each is separate for a reason, and the reason is on the right.

Flights

To and from Mexico City. Nonstop from 14+ US cities.

Why separate: prices vary 3x by city and date. Bundling flights would mean charging a Houston family for a Seattle fare.

The EKG and labs before screening

Ordered by your own doctor or a walk-in clinic near you, then sent to us.

Why separate: they are ordered in your name, at home, so the results are yours and in your own record. In the US they are often covered by insurance. We read them free.

Extra nights

Only if a “not yet” on arrival extends the stay, or a supervised alcohol detox needs more than 2 days.

Why separate: most people do not need them, and we will not charge everyone for a night some people use. The nightly rate is printed on your quote before you book.

Medications after discharge

Anything your doctor at home prescribes on the basis of our written summary.

Why separate: prescribing after day 7 is your home clinician’s decision, in your country, under your insurance. We do not sell take-home medication.

Accommodation for family

Outside the facility. The coordinator can point you to options nearby.

Why separate: some families come for 7 days, some for 1, some not at all. Visiting hours inside the facility are included.

When each payment is due

4 steps. Money changes hands at step 2, not before.

Other clinics take a deposit to “hold your place” before anyone has read an EKG. That order is backwards, and it is how families end up paying for a treatment they were never a candidate for.

1

Screening

$0

The screening call, the cardiologist’s reading of your EKG and labs, and the written decision. If the answer is not yet or no, this is where it ends, and you have paid nothing.

2

After a written yes

Deposit

Reserves your dates and your clinical team. The amount is on the itemised quote. Refunded in full if we decline you at any later point, including on arrival.

3

14 days before travel

Balance

The remainder of the $12,500. By then your washout plan is agreed, your team is named to you, and your pre-travel checklist is complete.

4

Day 1, on arrival

Repeat screening

The EKG and labs are repeated. A no here means a full refund of everything paid. A not yet means only the extra nights are billed, at the rate on your quote.

Payment is in US dollars. Accepted methods, any card fees, and the cancellation terms are printed on the quote in plain language before you pay anything. We would rather you read the actual terms than a summary of them.

What happens to your money if

6 situations families ask about, answered before they happen.

The same answers are on your quote. They are here so you can read them before you have a quote.

If screening says no

You have paid nothing.

You receive the reason in writing and, where we can, a referral to a clinician near you.

If screening says not yet

Still nothing.

Nothing is billed while a washout finishes or a value is corrected. We screen again when it is done.

If we decline you on arrival

Full refund, deposit and balance.

The day-1 EKG or labs said no. We explain why in writing and help you get home.

If the stay runs longer than 7 days

Only the extra nights.

At the nightly rate on your quote. The program price does not change.

If a hospital transfer happens

The transfer is ours. The hospital is not.

The ambulance and our physician’s time are included. Hospital charges are billed by the hospital, which is why we tell you to carry travel insurance that covers medical care in Mexico.

If a second session is ever considered

Screened and quoted separately.

Never sold at the outset, never bundled, never promised. It is a medical decision made during follow-up.

If you have a lower quote

$12,500 is not the cheapest ibogaine treatment in Mexico. Here is what to check before you choose the cheaper one.

We are not going to tell you a lower price is a bad clinic. We are going to tell you what the lower price most often leaves out, so you can ask.

Take the 8 questions on the medical team page to both quotes. Whichever clinic answers all of them in writing is the one to choose, whatever it costs.

Ask the cheaper clinic

What it is in our price

Who reads my EKG before I fly, and are they a cardiologist?

Line 1. A cardiologist, before any payment.

Is a physician in the room for the whole session, or on call?

Line 2. 2 physicians in the room, from first dose to sign-off.

How many nights, and who is monitoring the night after dosing?

Line 2 and 3. 7 nights. An ACLS nurse in the room, on continuous ECG.

Which hospital, how many minutes, and is the agreement written?

Line 3. Named private hospital, 9 minutes, agreement in your pack.

What happens after I fly home, and is it included?

Line 6. 90 days, scheduled calls, written summary, referral list. Included.

Do you pay anyone a fee for sending me to you?

No. Not to a broker, a website, or a “recovery consultant”. Nobody is paid on your booking.

Questions about the price

What families ask before they ask for a quote.

The short version of all of these: the price is the price, it is the same for everyone, and nothing is charged until a physician has said yes.

Is $12,500 the total, or the starting price?

The total for the 7-day medical program and the 90 days of follow-up, per patient. The only additions are the 5 items listed above, and each is either optional or outside our control. There is no “premium” tier, no upgrade to a better room, and no charge for the screening.

Does the price change with what I am being treated for?

No. Opioid, alcohol and stimulant dependence are the same price. Alcohol cases sometimes need a longer supervised detox before dosing, and those extra nights are billed at the nightly rate on the quote, but the program price is the same.

Will my insurance cover any of it?

Ibogaine is not approved by the FDA, so US health insurance does not cover the treatment and we do not bill insurers. The EKG and labs your own doctor orders before screening are often covered, because they are ordinary tests in your own record. Travel insurance that covers medical care in Mexico is worth carrying for the hospital scenario above.

Do you offer financing or payment plans?

We do not offer financing and we do not pass families to a lender. Taking on debt for a treatment with no published success rate is a decision we are not comfortable helping to arrange. If the price is out of reach, say so on the screening call; we would rather tell you that plainly than watch you borrow for it.

How much is the deposit?

The amount is stated on the itemised quote, which you receive with the written yes. It is only ever requested after that yes, and it is refunded in full if we decline you at any point afterwards, including on the day you arrive.

Why is the balance due 14 days before travel?

Because by then the clinical team is booked to you, the room is held and the washout plan is running. The 14 days also give you time to finish the pre-travel checklist without a payment deadline landing in the same week as your flight.

Can I get a refund if I change my mind?

If we decline you, yes, in full, always. If you cancel after a written yes, the cancellation terms on your quote apply, and they are written in plain language with dates, not percentages buried in a contract. Read them before you pay the deposit. If anything in them is unclear, ask the coordinator before you pay, not after.

The quote comes after the yes

Find out if you are a candidate. The itemised quote follows, if you are.

3 questions on the contact page. A physician or nurse calls you back within 1 business day. If screening says yes, the 6-line quote, the team’s names and the refund terms arrive together, before any deposit.
