Terms of use
These terms cover your use of this website and the contact form. They do not cover treatment. Treatment is governed by the written agreement, itemised quote and informed-consent documents you receive and sign after screening, and nothing on this site is an offer to treat anyone.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
This website, ibogainetreatmentmx.com (the “site”), is operated by Ibogaine Treatment MX (“we”, “us”), a physician-led medical facility in Mexico City, Mexico. By using the site, or by sending us the contact form, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
These terms cover the site and the enquiry process only. If you are screened and admitted for treatment, a separate written treatment agreement, the itemised quote and the informed-consent documents apply. Where those documents and these terms differ, those documents govern the treatment relationship.
2. This site is information, not medical advice
Everything on the site is general information about our program and about ibogaine. It is not medical advice, it is not a diagnosis, and it is not a recommendation that you or anyone else should be treated with ibogaine. Reading the site, sending the contact form or speaking to a member of our team about screening does not create a doctor-patient relationship. That relationship begins only when a physician of ours accepts you for treatment in writing.
Do not stop, start or change any medication because of something you read here. Medication changes before treatment are planned by our psychiatrist together with your own prescriber, and only after screening.
3. Emergencies
The site and the contact form are not monitored for emergencies and are not a way to reach a clinician urgently. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, is overdosing, or is having a medical or mental-health emergency, contact your local emergency services now. In the United States and Canada call 911; in Mexico call 911; in the United Kingdom call 999. In the United States, the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline is available by call or text.
4. Who may use the site
You must be at least 18 years old to send us the contact form or to be screened. We do not treat anyone under 18. If you are contacting us on behalf of someone else, keep what you tell us about them to what a first conversation needs. Nobody is screened or treated without their own informed consent, and medical information about another adult is only collected from them or with their agreement.
You may use the site only where doing so is lawful. Ibogaine’s legal status varies by country and by US state; you are responsible for knowing the law where you live.
5. The contact form and screening
- Information you give us through the form and during screening must be accurate and complete, to the best of your knowledge. Screening decisions rest on it. Withholding a cardiac history, a medication or a substance can put your life at risk during treatment.
- Sending the form does not reserve a place, does not create any obligation on us to treat you, and does not commit you to anything.
- Every screening decision is made by a physician. We may decline to screen or to treat anyone, at any stage, for medical reasons, and we will give the reason in writing.
- We may decline to respond to enquiries that are abusive, automated, fraudulent, or unrelated to the program.
6. No promises about outcomes
We do not claim that ibogaine cures addiction or any other condition, and we publish no success rate. The site describes published studies and states their limits; those studies are small, mostly observational, and none is a randomised controlled trial. Ibogaine is not approved by the US Food and Drug Administration, is a Schedule I substance in the United States, and carries a real risk of serious cardiac events and death. Any statement on the site about what treatment involves describes our protocol, not a guaranteed result for you.
7. Prices, quotes and payment
The price shown on the site is the price of the 7-day medical program and 90-day follow-up as of the date at the top of the pricing page. It is information, not an offer. A binding price is the one on the written, itemised quote you receive after a written screening yes. The quote and the treatment agreement set out the deposit, the balance, what is and is not included, the nightly rate for any extra nights, refund rules and cancellation terms, and they govern all payment matters.
We do not take payment through this site, we do not offer financing, and we do not pay or receive referral fees. If anyone asks you for a payment on our behalf through a channel not named on your quote, do not pay it and tell us through the contact form.
8. Your privacy
How we collect, use, share and protect personal data, including medical information, is set out in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to: send the contact form with false identity or contact details; use automated tools to send forms, scrape the site or probe it for weaknesses; attempt to gain access to any part of the site or its systems that is not intended for public use; introduce malicious code; use the site to harass, threaten or defraud anyone; or use content from the site to present yourself or another business as connected with us. We may block access to the site, without notice, for breach of this section.
10. Our content and trade marks
The text, design, photographs, graphics and code on the site belong to us or to our licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. The name Ibogaine Treatment MX and the site’s logo are our trade marks. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use, and you may quote short extracts with a link to the source. You may not copy pages, reproduce the design, or use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you or are connected with you, without our written permission.
Published research quoted on the site belongs to its authors and publishers and is cited with links to the original records.
11. Links and third-party tools
The site links to outside websites, such as published research and the Mexican professional-licence registry, and uses third-party services to run, such as hosting, email delivery and enquiry-management tools. We do not control those sites or services and we are not responsible for their content, availability or practices. A link is provided for your convenience and is not an endorsement.
12. Disclaimers
The site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We work to keep the information on it accurate and current, and we date the pages that change most, but we do not warrant that the site is error-free, complete, uninterrupted or free of viruses, or that any information on it is suitable for your circumstances. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties, express or implied, in relation to the site. Nothing in this section limits what we owe you under a treatment agreement you have signed, or under a law that cannot be excluded by contract.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or its content, including loss of data, loss of income, or any indirect or consequential loss, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, and even if we were told it was possible. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount the law allows. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded under the law that applies to you. Liability arising from treatment itself is governed by the treatment agreement and by Mexican health law, not by this section.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico, and any dispute about the site or these terms will be heard by the competent courts of Mexico City, Mexico. If you are a consumer in a country whose law gives you the right to bring a claim in your own courts or to rely on mandatory protections of your own law, these terms do not take that right away. Before starting any claim, we ask that you contact us so we can try to resolve it directly.
15. General
- Changes. We may change these terms. The date and version number at the top of the page will change when we do, and the new terms apply to your use of the site from that date.
- Severability. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
- No waiver. If we do not enforce a term on one occasion, we can still enforce it later.
- Language. These terms are written in English. A Spanish version of the treatment documents is provided with the screening pack; where a Spanish document has been signed, the Spanish text governs that document.
- Entire agreement for the site. These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us about your use of the site. They do not replace any treatment agreement.
16. Contact
Questions about these terms go through the contact form. Choose “Other” under what you want to treat, add the word “terms” after your email address or number, and a member of the team will respond.
